🧾 Apprentice Responsibilities
As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll be trained in:
🔧 Diagnosing and repairing tractors and earthmoving equipment
📦 Stock and parts control
👨🔧 Preventive maintenance and mechanical service
🤝 Customer service
🧰 General workshop support tasks
📚 Training Structure
🏫 Attend Practical Training Institute in phased intervals
📘 Enroll for N-Level subjects through distance learning (including Saturday classes)
🛠️ Receive on-the-job product training and mentorship by industry experts
🧑🏫 Optional: FET sponsorship available if you lack N2 qualifications
✅ Minimum Requirements:
1.Valid South African Driver’s License
2 Good Communication and Administrative Skills
3.Basic Computer Literacy
Either:
N2 with:
Mathematics
Engineering Science
Diesel Trade Theory
Plus one of: Industrial Electronics, Technical Drawing, or Motor Trade Theory
OR Matric with:
Mathematics (Not Literacy)
Technical Mathematics
Physical Science or Technical Science
Engineering Graphics & Design
Don’t have the N2 yet? AFGRI may sponsor you through Further Education & Training during the apprenticeship.
