AUTOMOTIVE APPRENTICE (PETROL/DIESEL)
Job Description
Motus Retail has several opportunities available for apprentices across our dealer network. These are amazing opportunities for candidates who have a passion for passenger or commercial vehicles and who are keen to train and qualify as a Petrol or Diesel Motor Mechanics.
To participate in all aspects of the Apprenticeship programme; assisting with the repair of vehicles while working under the supervision of a qualified Technician; fulfilling the MerSETA requirements of the trade, mastering level tests and qualifying within a maximum of 3 years.
Position Overview Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Attend scheduled technical/ level training courses.
2.To assist with the repair of vehicles in order to obtain practical experience under the supervision and instruction of a Technician.
Specific Role Responsibilities Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Prepare thoroughly for level tests in order to qualify within the maximum of 3 years.
2.Assist with housekeeping; keeping tools and equipment clean and in good order.
3.Follow workplace safety, conduct rules and protocols.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
1.Grade 10 with Pure Maths or Technical Maths and Science
2.Completed N2 or higher (Must have done Motor Theory)
3.NCV Level 4 (Must have done Pure Maths)
4.To be eligible for a Diesel Apprenticeship, applicants must have an N2 with a Diesel Theory Quailification
Skills and Personal Attributes Knowledge and Skills Required:
Competently able to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment/ computer in order to access information.
Possess very strong problem solving/ trouble shooting and motor vehicle fault finding skills.
Meticulous and accurate
A team player.
Energetic and action orientated.
