VACANCY: Electrician x 1 (C2)
LOCATION: Stibium Mopani Mine (Gravelotte – Limpopo)
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above-mentioned vacancy.
MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
N2 Qualification (minimum)
Three (3) Years’ Experience in the mining industry
Section 13/26D Electrical Trade Certificate
Wireman’s license will be advantageous
Medium Voltage Certificate will be advantageous
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safe and effective running of all electrical machinery and equipment in the Gold Plant.
Conducting all assigned work in a satisfactory and competent manner.
Co-ordinate performance of substations, transformers, and pumps.
Planning, compilation, and controlling budget.
Trouble shooting, electrical installations and modifications, safety and MHS Act compliance.
Implement Root cause failure analysis findings.
Continuous improvement on plant equipment with regards to plant availability.
Monitor and control VSD’s, Soft starters and PLC’s.
Wiring of a 3 Phase Starter Box and Panel.
Computer literate (MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word).
Efficient maintenance of operational equipment.
New electrical installations.
Knowledge on Gold Plant equipment (Kiln, Elution Tower, Furnace, etc).
Maintenance and fault finding on existing electrical equipment.
Assist with other tasks in maintenance department.
KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Must be able to multi-task, work with a team or on their own if required.
Be in position to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime.
Be prepared to do stand-by and work long extended hours.
