💼 Key Responsibilities
🔘Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly, annual schedules)
🔘Conduct fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repairs, and system recovery on plant equipment
🔘Maintain plant availability, operational reliability, and system efficiency
🔘Execute electrical installations, upgrades, and plant modifications
🔘Participate in standby duties and emergency response maintenance
🔘Supervise and support apprentices, assistants, and technical trainees
🔘Coordinate and manage contractors, isolations, testing, and safety compliance
🔘Assist in project planning, plant upgrades, commissioning, and system improvements
🔘Perform cable fault tracing, jointing, testing, and electrical circuit diagnostics
🔘Complete job cards, permits, logs, reports, and maintenance documentation
🔘Support RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) processes
🔘Maintain high standards of housekeeping, compliance, and safety
🎓 Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 / N3 Certificate
-Recognized Electrician Trade Test Certificate
-Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in electrical maintenance
-Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) operational experience
-Experience with control systems and electrical distribution networks
-Valid Code B Driver’s License
-Ability to pass Rand Water K53 Test
-Ability to pass ORHVS Certification
-Wireman’s License (advantageous – increases employability and earning potential)
