Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to sales staff with the preparation of hydraulic designs and quotations.
- Receive orders for hydraulic systems and assemblies. Complete detail design and equipment selection and strive to maintain the budgeted costs. Ensure that all target dates are achieved with respect to control of drawings, documents etc. Ensure that orders placed at sub-suppliers contain detailed, comprehensive instructions. Issue instructions to the drawing office to complete circuit diagrams, general arrangement, and fabrication drawings. Liaise with the customer and the workshop to ensure professionally built product is delivered on time and to the customers’ satisfaction.
- Ensure that the item or equipment leaves the workshop in a fully tented condition and that it complies with the required specification. Update all drawings and files to ensure that a complete record is retained by
BMG’s Technical Resources department.
- Design, develop, factory test and commission mechanical and mechatronic systems.
- Assist the Project Coordinator with compiling customer manuals.
- Ensure that all amounts due for projects, plus any extras, are invoiced.
- Attend weekly project meetings and update the Project Manager on all aspects of jobs for which he is responsible.
- If required, ensure that the commissioning is carried out according industry and company standards.
- Always adhere and follow relevant ISO procedures.
- Answering telephonic enquiries for hydraulic equipment and spares and to cross-reference competitors’
products to BMG products.
