Are you detail-oriented, analyticakl, and passionate about retail stock accuracy? Leroy Merlin – a trusted name in home improvement retail – is looking for a proactive and motivated Stock Counter to be part of our dynamic Stock Control team at our Greenstone Park store.
As a Stock Counter, you will play a vital role in driving inventory accuracy, reducing shrinkage, and supporting various departments in maintaining an efficient merchandise cycle. Your contributions will ensure that our customers find what they need, when they need it – every time they visit us.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily stock counts across the trading floor and warehouse, ensuring accuracy with a target of 400 SKUs per day.
Investigate and resolve stock variances to improve data integrity.
Assist in stock-take preparation through effective housekeeping in all departments.
Monitor and maintain stock availability and support replenishment for cross-merchandising initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments to propose, promote, and implement best practices in stock management.
Play an active role as a contributing member of the Shrinkage Committee.
Participate in transversal projects related to Returns to Supplier (RTS), Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT), and Cross Merchandising.
📚 Requirements:
1.A Matric Certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification is required.
2.At least 1 year of experience in a retail or merchandising environment.
3.Proficiency in using Google Spreadsheets and other digital tools.
4.In-depth understanding of the retail merchandise lifecycle.
5.Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to identify patterns and resolve inconsistencies.
6.High levels of attention to detail, with a performance- and deadline-driven work ethic.
7.Excellent planning, organizational, and time management capabilities.
