Clover, one of South Africa’s leading FMCG companies, is looking for a motivated and proactive Artisan Assistant to join our Engineering & Production team at our Clayville branch.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to artisans, perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks, and contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-performing production environment.

âś… Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent NQF Level 4 Certificate
Fluent in Business English (verbal & written)
Valid Code 10 driver’s license
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Ability to travel off-site and stay overnight when required
Basic computer literacy (MS Office & digital systems)
Previous exposure to working with senior management
Ability to work safely in confined spaces

🔧 Duties & Responsibilities
Artisan Support
Assist senior artisans during repairs and maintenance activities
Prepare tools, equipment, and parts for technical work
Ensure equipment is cleaned, tested, and stored after maintenance
Safely move and handle heavy equipment as required
Semi-Skilled Technical Work
Carry out basic civil and maintenance tasks (carpentry, bricklaying, painting, welding, and minor office repairs)
Clean and maintain cooling towers & production areas
Perform routine inspections and report potential issues
Support the production team with day-to-day maintenance activities
