🔧 What You’ll Learn and Do
Operate and maintain machinery: Master lathes, milling, drilling, and turning operations on various metals.
Interpret engineering drawings: Understand tolerances, symbols, and machining details to produce high-precision components.
Use advanced measuring tools: Micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, and bore mics.
Assemble mechanical systems: Align shafts, bearings, couplings, and fit hydraulic/pneumatic components.
Uphold safety excellence: Commit to Weir’s Zero Harm philosophy and world-class safety standards.
Complete your SETA-aligned apprenticeship to qualify as a certified Fitter & Turner.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
N2 or higher in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Turning).
N5/N6 qualification will be a strong advantage.
