We are currently offering an exciting career opportunity for an Artisan Assistant (Semi-Skilled Electrician) to join our Technical and Engineering Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Foreman: Electrical and play a key role in supporting the team with electrical maintenance and workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic electrical repairs, lighting maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Provide direct assistance to qualified Electrical Artisans during installations and repairs.
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical equipment in the workshop.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards at all times.
Monitor equipment and machinery for efficient and safe operation.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and organization within the electrical workshop.
Minimum Educational Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric).
N3–N4 Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Extensive experience using hand and power tools (essential).
1–2 years’ experience in a similar technical or maintenance role.
Prior experience within an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment will be advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
Strong aptitude for practical electrical and engineering tasks.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced production setting.
Proven problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
Reliable, punctual, and an excellent team player.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Computer literate with basic knowledge of maintenance systems.
