🎯 Key Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to manufacturing, installation, and repair projects, ensuring equipment efficiency, reliability, and compliance with Mine Health & Safety regulations.
📚 Minimum Qualifications
✔️ Grade 12 / Matric with NQF Level 4 equivalent (including relevant NATED courses – e.g., N3 Certificate)
✔️ Section 13 / Section 26(D) Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker – essential)
✔️ Valid driver’s license: Code B, EB, or C1
✔️ Own transport (for call-outs when required)
🛠️ Experience & Skills Required
🔧 Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a Boilermaker in a processing or workshop environment
🔧 Strong mine maintenance and shutdown exposure
🔧 English language proficiency (written & verbal)
🔧 Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
📌 Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct trade-related maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mining equipment and machinery.
Perform daily checks and report all breakdowns/defects in line with the Mine Health & Safety Act.
Fabricate, construct, modify, and install boilermaker-related equipment as per engineering needs.
Ensure equipment and installations are safe, reliable, and compliant after task completion.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance to drive efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance.
Record and report maintenance data to support the asset management system.
