Minimum Qualifications:

1.Minimum Grade 10 certificate or equivalent.

2.Must be a resident of the City of Ekurhuleni.

3.Must reside in the ward in which services will be rendered. (Proof of residence required — ensure your ward number is clearly indicated on your address.)


Key Responsibilities:

1.As a Rodent Control General Worker, your role will focus on community outreach, education, and monitoring related to pest control and environmental health.

2.Conduct house-to-house surveys and awareness in designated wards.

3.Deliver public education on rodent control and related environmental health issues.

4.Distribute educational pamphlets and flyers.

5.Mobilize community members to participate in awareness events and local meetings.

6.Track and report rodent infestation cases and follow up with affected premises.

7.Collaborate closely with Environmental Health Practitioners.

8.Support rodent control awareness campaigns.

9.Achieve a daily goal of 30 premises inspected per day.

10.Maintain daily attendance and recordkeeping using provided tools.

11.Document all activities, including pamphlets distributed and households visited.

12.Support logistical needs during health talks and educational events.
