🎓 About the Learnership Programme
This 36-month Artisan Learnership Programme combines practical on-the-job training with structured institutional learning, allowing candidates to gain both theoretical knowledge and real workplace experience.
Learners will:
✔️ Participate fully in all learning modules and assessments
✔️ Gain workplace readiness skills
✔️ Complete required trade-related practical training
✔️ Build technical competence under qualified supervision
✔️ Develop professional and personal growth skills
This programme is ideal for young individuals who are passionate about engineering, energy, and plant operations.
🛠️ Available Learnership Fields
Applicants can apply in one of the following artisan trades:
🔹 Mechanical Fitter
🔹 Instrumentation
🔹 Electrician
🔹 Chemical Plant Operator
Each field provides specialized training aligned with industry standards and plant operations at Secunda Operations.
📚 Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
✅ A completed National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent
✅ Technical Mathematics or Mathematics
✅ English or Business English
✅ Technical Science or Physical Science
Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, commitment to learning, and willingness to work in a structured industrial environment.
