⚙️ Purpose of the Position
To ensure all electrical machines, systems, and equipment are operating efficiently for maximum productivity and minimum downtime. The successful candidate will assist with maintenance, repairs, and installations under the supervision of a qualified electrician while learning industry best practices in electrical safety, troubleshooting, and maintenance management.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and electrical systems.
Assist with shutdown work and planned electrical maintenance.
Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and electrical faults.
Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical control panels, wiring, and lighting systems.
Conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns and identify hazards.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using professional testing devices.
Maintain compliance with OSH Act standards and electrical safety regulations.
Complete job cards, reports, and maintenance documentation.
Uphold safety and housekeeping standards in all work areas.
🧠 Educational and Training Requirements
Minimum Qualification: N2 in Electrical Trade Theory (or higher).
Basic understanding of Health and Safety protocols.
Workshop or institutional training in electrical trade essential.
Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude.

All work must adhere to national electrical standards and Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) requirements. Apprentices must operate under direct supervision of a qualified electrician and are not permitted to sign off safety or work permits.
