📌 Minimum Requirements
1.Minimum Grade 10 certificate (or equivalent)
2.Must be a South African citizen
3.Resident of Ekurhuleni Municipality (include Ward Number in your application)
4.Unemployed and not currently in any municipal job creation programme
5.Physically fit and willing to perform manual labour
6.Eager to learn and follow supervisor instructions
⚡ Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Municipal General Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning, sweeping, digging, planting, grass cutting, and refuse collection
Assisting with maintenance of municipal infrastructure & assets
Operating hand tools and small equipment under supervision
Loading and offloading tools, materials, and equipment
Ensuring workplace health and safety standards are followed
Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment faults
Supporting municipal teams during public events, emergency responses, and clean-up campaigns
Performing general duties as directed by supervisors
