National Skills Fund (NSF) in partnership with Sekhukhune TVET College

The National Skills Fund (NSF), in collaboration with Sekhukhune TVET College, invites unemployed youth from the local community to apply for structured Apprenticeship Programmes designed to develop technical skills, enhance employability, and create sustainable career pathways.

These programmes are aimed at empowering young people with practical, industry-aligned training over a period of 36 months, culminating in trade certification and occupational readiness.


AVAILABLE APPRENTICESHIP FIELDS

Below are the detailed fields of study, duration, and minimum entry requirements:


1️⃣ ELECTRICIAN

Duration: 36 Months
Minimum Requirements:

NCV Level 2–4: Electrical Infrastructure Construction (21 subjects completed)

OR N2–N6 Electrical Engineering (with N2 Electrical Trade Theory or N3 Electrotechnology)


2️⃣ DIESEL MECHANIC

Duration: 36 Months
Minimum Requirements:

NCV Level 2–4: Engineering Related Design (21 subjects completed) with Automotive Repairs & Maintenance vocational subject

OR N2–N6 Mechanical Engineering (with N2 Diesel or Motor Trade Theory and/or N3 Mechano-technology)


3️⃣ WELDER

Duration: 36 Months
Minimum Requirements:

NCV Level 2–4: Engineering Related Design (21 subjects completed) with Fabrication vocational subject

OR N2–N6 Mechanical Engineering (with N2 Plater Theory / N2 Welder Trade Theory and/or N3 Mechano-technology)


4️⃣ PLUMBER

Duration: 36 Months
Minimum Requirements:

NCV Level 2–4: Civil Engineering & Building Construction (21 subjects completed) with Plumbing as vocational subject

OR N2–N6 Civil Engineering (with N2 Plumbing Trade Theory)


📌 IMPORTANT INFORMATION & CONDITIONS

✔ Applicants must be under 35 years of age
✔ Priority will be given to learners who previously studied at Sekhukhune TVET College
✔ Minimum requirements must be met
✔ All applications will undergo assessment and verification processes
✔ Successful candidates will sign an ETQA Agreement and Employment Contract
✔ Unemployed people with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
✔ Applicants must reside within the Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality
