Who is Mafube Coal
Mafube Coal (Opencast Mine) is a joint Venture (50/50) between Thungela Resources & Exxaro Resources. The mine is situated 37 km east of Middelburg, in the Mpumalanga province. We mine coal, primarily for supply to the export market.

Attend theoretical and practical training at CTC
Enjoy practical on-the-job training
To pass your trade test, complete all modules and assessments
Minimum education and experience requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 and N2 Technical qualification with relevant subjects for the trade applying for
Sound knowledge of Safety Systems, Regulations and Standards with a high regard to safety
Must be able and willing to work shifts, standby & call outs when required
Must be in possession of or able to obtain a certificate of fitness
A valid driver’s license
Relevant subjects per trade:
Electrician: Maths, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory
Fitter: Maths, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, Fitter & Turning Trade Theory
Instrumentation: Maths, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation Trade Theory
Plater: Maths, Engineering Science, Plater Structural Steel Drawing, Plater Trade Theory
Rigger: Maths, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, Rigging Trade Theory
