Reporting directly to the Electrical Foreman, the successful candidate will support artisans and supervisors in maintaining and servicing electrical equipment across operational plants. This includes assisting with industrial electrical installations, preventive maintenance, fault diagnostics, and electrical repairs to ensure optimal plant performance and operational efficiency.

🎓 Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
🔘Grade 12 / N3 Certificate (Electrical preferred)
🔘Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Artisan Assistant in an electrical workshop or industrial environment
🔘Valid Code B Driver’s License
🔘Ability to pass the K53 driving test
🔘Sound understanding of electrical workshop practices
🛠 Key Responsibilities
As a Workshop Assistant (Electrical), your responsibilities will include:
🚨Electrical Maintenance & Installations
🚨Assist artisans with routine and emergency maintenance of electrical systems
🚨Support minor electrical installations in compliance with safety regulations
🚨Conduct basic electrical fault finding and cable tracing using testing equipment
🚨Install and secure cables, dig trenches, and assemble cable racks
🚨Replace faulty plugs, service batteries, and maintain liquid starters
🚨Clean, wash, and paint electrical motors and equipment

🚨Repair electrical appliances such as geysers, heaters, cookers, and stoves
🚨Handle and maintain electrical stores inventory

🚨Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act Follow permit-to-work systems and electrical work procedures
