Lindsay Saker VW Midrand, in partnership with Motus Technical Training Academy (MTTA), invites passionate and technically inclined individuals to embark on an exciting 4-year Accredited CBMT Apprenticeship. This blended training opportunity combines hands-on learning in our state-of-the-art workshop with structured academic training, giving you the edge to become a fully qualified Motor Mechanic.
📚 What the Program Offers
Duration: 4 years (CBMT Levels 1 – 4)
Structure:
On-the-job training alongside certified technicians
Classroom education through MTTA (5-day block every 5 weeks)
CDX-based distance learning: interactive online learning and assessments
Competency-based testing and portfolio development
MIBCO-aligned wages and working conditions
Certification: Learnership through Lindsay Saker VW + CBMT Contract via merSETA
🔍 What You’ll Learn
Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics
Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs
Understand manufacturer specifications

Work under the guidance of experienced motor vehicle mechanics
✅ Minimum Requirements
1.Education:
–Matric with Mathematics & Physical Science
–OR N2 Certificate (Engineering Science, Mathematics & English with 50%+)
Other Requirements:
1.Valid South African Driver’s License
2.Basic Computer Literacy
3.Must pass a mechanical aptitude test
4.Clear background checks and medical fitness assessment
5.Will undergo psychometric testing and a face-to-face interview
