🌍 About the Opportunity
Rand Water is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Artisan Assistant – Electrical to join our Bulk Water Services Operations Team at Zwartkopjes. This is a permanent role ideal for individuals passionate about electrical maintenance, safety, and teamwork within a dynamic industrial environment.
⚙️ Key Purpose of the Role
To assist qualified Artisans in performing daily electrical maintenance, repairs, and plant operations, while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) – essential
N3 Certificate in Electrical Engineering – advantageous
Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a similar technical or maintenance environment
Ability to perform minor electrical repairs and follow safety protocols
🔧 Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Carry and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks
Clean machinery, tools, and work areas after each job
Maintain excellent housekeeping and adhere to safety standards
Assist Artisans and Workshop Assistants in all job-related duties
Collect and deliver spare parts and components from stores
Conduct routine plant inspections and promptly report unsafe conditions
