Job Purpose
To provide administrative and coordination support for learners across the business. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, effective learner support, and compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Learner Administration
- Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant learner records across all entities.
- Support the onboarding and registration of new learners.
- Track learner progress, attendance, assessments, and portfolio submissions.
- Assist with learnership documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with learners and provide support with learnership-related queries and challenges.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and status updates for HR and line managers.
- Respond to learner queries and escalate issues where necessary.
- Ensure all learner files meet B-BBEE audit and regulatory standards at all times.
General HR Support
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data capturing, system support, and policy-related administration.
- Maintain clean, accurate, and compliant employee and learner records.
- Handle learner and employee requests within scope and escalate where required.
- Work proactively with HR team members to support shared objectives and deadlines.
- Prioritise tasks effectively when working on joint projects.
- Contribute to process improvements and effective information sharing within the HR team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Qualification in Management Assistant, Business Management, Human Resources, or related field (completed or in progress).
Experience:
- Experience in an administrative position (Advantageous).
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Basic knowledge of South African labour legislation and B-BBEE principles (advantageous).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and manage deadlines effectively.
