🚀 Key Responsibilities
As a Shop Assistant / Cashier, your role will be critical in creating a seamless shopping experience for every customer:
Ensure efficient point-of-sale (POS) operations including accurate scanning, handling of cash, and processing of payments.
Deliver exceptional customer engagement, assisting with queries, promoting offers, and enrolling new ClubCard members.
Proactively drive sales by highlighting promotions and ensuring customers feel the “Clicks value – feel good and pay less.”
Execute merchandising and housekeeping standards, ensuring the store is well-presented and fully stocked.
Act as a brand ambassador, living our values and supporting the vision to remain the customer’s first-choice health & beauty retailer.
Maintain updated product knowledge on new ranges, promotions, and events to offer informed guidance to shoppers.
📚 Knowledge & Skills You’ll Bring
Strong numeracy and computer literacy.
Ability to apply basic maths calculations for transactions.
Retail/FMCG background with knowledge of merchandising, stock control, and promotional strategies.
Customer service excellence with a friendly, solution-driven approach.
Planning, organising, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive under pressure.
Excellent communication and networking abilities to connect with diverse customers.
