Purpose of the Production Learnership

This is a training-focused programme, not permanent employment. While permanent placement after completion is not guaranteed, successful learners will leave the programme with a recognised qualification, valuable work experience, and a strong foundation for employment within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.


Programme Structure and Duration

Successful candidates will enter into a 36-month Learner’s Agreement, which includes:

Institutional (theoretical) training

On-the-job practical training

Regular assessments and evaluations

Continuous performance monitoring

The programme follows a structured curriculum aligned with industry standards and national training frameworks. Learning outcomes are clearly defined, and progress is measured through formal assessments, workplace observations, and competency evaluations.

Financial and Training Support

The learnership is fully funded by the company and includes a bursary package designed to support learners throughout the programme. The bursary covers:

Payment of institutional training fees

Personal protective equipment (PPE)

Prescribed training materials

Personal insurance cover

Monthly bursary allowance

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Production Learnership 2026, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

A complete Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Minimum subject results:

English: 45%

Mathematics: 40% OR

Mathematics Literacy: 50%

Applicants must be able to provide valid academic records as part of the application process.


Additional Conditions and Important Notes

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination to determine fitness for work in an industrial environment.
